Kelosound, 2015

IDEA: Bring audible and tactile nature closer to our daily lives.

WHAT: A sound art and design product which plays the sounds from a Finnish forest. They're meant to place inside your home and listen to the sounds coming from the wood itself. Every Kelosound piece is unique. The sounds originate from Finland's mystical wilderness and nature and include rare sounds of wild animals and the atmosphere of magical Lapland. The artist recorded these sound across Finland, trotting through snow and hail, surrounded by roaring bears and other wild animals. Her previous work 'Finnish Forest Frequencies' was the main inspiration for this design product, and has been selected for The ArtPrize.

WHY: The artist aims to bring nature closer to our daily lives. The relaxing and tactile sounds from the beautiful piece of naturally dried wood invite you to hug and listen.
