Japanese Rain Sound Installation

img.jpg

IDEA: Recreate rain with sound and kinetic features.

WHAT: Fifteen umbrellas are placed in a grid, each umbrella is set on top of a speaker, allowing the vibration generated by the previously sampled sound of early Japanese spring rain, to travel through the object, and to be reproduced by it.

WHY: It expresses non-visible characteristics such as gravity, vibrations, magnetic forces, and sound, as physical elements.
